Allergen & Food Safety

Effective Date: August 2026

At Nonna's Dispensa, we're passionate about bringing authentic Italian pantry products to Australian homes. We carefully select quality ingredients from trusted suppliers and artisan producers, but it's important that customers read the information below before enjoying our products.

01

Product Information

Our pantry boxes contain a selection of packaged food products sourced from trusted Australian suppliers and specialist Italian importers.

All food is supplied in its original manufacturer's packaging unless otherwise stated.

We do not open, repackage or alter the contents of the products we sell.

02

Allergen Information

Some products included in our pantry boxes may contain or have been manufactured in facilities that handle common allergens, including:

  • Wheat
  • Gluten
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Soy
  • Tree nuts
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame
  • Fish
  • Crustaceans
  • Sulphites

As product selections may change from time to time, customers should always read the ingredient list and allergen statement printed on each individual product before consumption.

03

Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements

If you or anyone consuming our products has a food allergy, intolerance or specific dietary requirement, please carefully review all product labels before preparing or consuming the food.

If you have any questions about a product before placing an order, please contact us and we will do our best to provide additional information.

04

Seasonal Product Substitutions

Occasionally, products may be substituted due to seasonal availability or supplier shortages.

Where this occurs, we will replace the item with a product of equal or greater quality and comparable value.

Substituted products may contain different ingredients or allergens. We strongly recommend checking the label on every product, including substituted items, before use.

05

Best Before Dates

Every product supplied includes its own Best Before date.

Please refer to the individual packaging for this information.

06

Storage

To maintain product quality:

  • Store products according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Keep products in a cool, dry place unless otherwise stated.
  • Refrigerate products after opening where required.
  • Use opened products within the timeframe recommended by the manufacturer.
07

Product Quality

Many of our products are traditionally produced by artisan makers.

Natural variations in colour, flavour, texture and appearance are part of the authentic character of these products and are not considered faults.

Packaging may also change from time to time as manufacturers update their labels or branding.

08

Food Safety

If a product arrives damaged, leaking, unsealed or appears unsafe to consume, do not eat it.

Please contact us as soon as possible with photographs of the product and packaging so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy.

09

Recipe Cards

The recipes included with our pantry boxes are provided as a guide only.

Cooking times, ingredient quantities and serving suggestions may vary depending on personal preference and the products used.

Customers are responsible for ensuring food is prepared, cooked and stored safely.
